Artist Testimonial – PAULA HAYNES (Emerging Artist)

I thought the show was great. I was able to meet several artist who have been doing this for a long time and got some pointers. Thank you all for making this a good experience. I will come back next year.

I believe the show was nicely laid out with a great variety of art and the most 2D I have seen in a show this size.

  • Artist Testimonial – NANCY LAWREY (Emerging Artist)

Hello! I had a pretty good experience at the art festival as an emerging artist, meeting other artists, customers, and volunteers. I appreciated the free water, coffee, breakfast, and the sweet volunteers coming around to ask us if we needed breaks.

  • Artist Testimonial – ROY LIVINGSTON (Emerging Artist)

My spot wasn’t on the main drag, but I could see it from where I was and the main drag seemed to get more traffic. That said, we still got traffic and I sold more than I thought I would, so I’m happy. People who saw my art on Saturday came back on Sunday and bought and they also brought friends with them that bought from me too.  I thought Lou and company did a great job.

  • Artist Testimonial – ASHLEY MOORE (Emerging Artist)

My booth was on the outer end and it seemed like traffic never stopped.  Always had someone in my booth asking questions about my art. Had several buyers, mostly on the cheaper pieces ($65-125) which was awesome!  I had an amazing experience with this event and hope to do it again next year.

The location was SPOT ON!  Perfect place for an art fair!

I am an oil painter. I was on the tree avenue. Behind the slate rock oil lamps. I was very pleased. Sold 10 paintings and two more when I got home.

  • Artist Testimonial – RON FOX (Emerging Artist)

We had a great show and sold a ton of product.  Loved that the show staff was so supportive (bringing drinks, giving me a bathroom break before my wife arrived).  Really felt like everyone wanted all the artists to have a great show.

The layout was wonderful.  We had lots of customers in our booth, ranging from looky-loo’s to serious enthusiasts.

We can’t wait until next year and hope the process is as easy as this year!  We sold about 2/3-3/4 of our inventory!

    Thanks again!

  • Artist Testimonial – PAM STURM

It was well organized and fun for all ages, and the dogs too!

I was surrounded by artists who traveled to a lot of shows every year. They were all concerned about it being a first year show but by the end seemed quite satisfied with the crowds, the organization and their sales.

I would like to thank all the people on the team who created a great weekend on the waterfront and would like to join the Emerging Artist education program for next year.

    Thanks again,

    Pam Sturm

  • Artist Testimonial – DOUG BRINK

  • Artist Testimonial – ALI REZNIKOF (Silver Jewelry)

    Hello Louis,

What a wonderful event. You and your team did a great job for the first year. Overall it was a lovely show. The quality of art work was good. Being in the shade of the trees was nice. And we couldn’t have asked for better weather.

Overall it was lovely for a first year show. There was a lot of talk of it growing to rival St.James.

    Thank you,

    Ali

  • Artist Testimonial – CYNTHIA TEZNAR (Medium Category: glass/ glass sculpture)

You obviously did a heck of a job!  I do intend to apply next year (if you will have me), and will even ask for the same booth location as this year.

  • Artist Testimonial – MAGGIE WARD BIEDA (Jewelry)

The show was awesome! Setup was easy, the food vendors and coffee were great.

    Thanks,

  • Artist Testimonial – HEATHER CAMERON (Emerging Artist)

It was an excellent festival! The venue was perfect, the waterfront was lovely, all the art was superb, and I’ve heard from many that they had a wonderful time.

The experience itself was infinitely rewarding. I learned much about my audience, marketing, and practical problem avoidance- mainly tips from other artists on booth setup, weighing the tent down, packing tips, etc. The festival provided new vision and a clear direction for my art.

The whole set up of the booth rows, music, and food seemed to be well planned and logical. Good work! It was a really great event!

    – Heather Cameron

  • Artist Testimonial – MOE BONIN

It was a great venue. Fabulous location and fabulous people. Very professional!

    Moe Bonin

  • Artist Tesimonial – DANIEL MADDOX

Our feedback is that this is a wonderful show! The set up was great for us. We loved that the booths were spread out a bit. This makes everything easier. The setup was very smooth and easy to get into. Also the parking was close by and that was really convenient for resupplying things. Breakfast was a nice touch as well, and the staff were so courteous!  Of course, it’s a beautiful venue and the weather was perfect so that didn’t hurt either. We look forward to participating next year. Thanks for all the work that you put into this!

    Thanks,

    Daniel

  • Artist Testimonials – DEBBIE & JOHN WILES

We do about 14 art shows a year; and I can tell you that this was the BEST one we have done in 2017.  Our sales were awesome.  Your advertising paid off, because the crowd was huge.  I loved the lay out – the park is beautiful.  You did a wonderful job planning this event.  I have told many of our artist friends that they really missed out by not doing Big Four Arts Festival.

Late in his teens he was influenced by the singer songwriter movement of the 70’s which led him on a musical journey that started with high profile shows in Louisville and led him to California playing venues in Santa Monica Beach, Venice Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach and Orange County. Eventually he landed in Nashville to further pursue songwriting. There he played the Blue Bird Café, as well as other premier songwriter venues before moving back to California. We like to play all kinds of music, but we generally work around bluegrass, folk, blues, gospel. There are too many songs to learn and play and too little time. If you like our music, tell your friends about us.”

  • Featured Musical Artist – The Whiskey Bent Valley Boys
